Instant Pot® Buffalo Chicken Wings Recipe

This Buffalo Chicken Wings recipe will be one of your favorite especially on game day. They are a popular bar and restaurant dish packed with flavor. Buffalo chicken wings were invented by Teressa Bellissimo in 1964 while she was working at her family restaurant called the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York. The original recipe used blue cheese dressing instead of regular mayonnaise-based dressing.

It wasn’t until the early 1990s when they became popular in the US. In 1991, Hooters introduced their Hooters Style Chicken Wings as an appetizer on their menu and it became so popular that they began to sell them as a full meal.

Most of the time chicken wings are deep fried, but we’re going to make them a much healthier way. We’re making these with Frank’s Buffalo Wing Sauce, but you can try other flavors like barbeque (Rudy’s sauce is my favorite), honey garlic, Cajun spice, or teriyaki.

Also chicken wings are a great source of B vitamins, A, E, D K and a wide range of essential minerals, especially magnesium.
