This is a recipe for a spicy and flavorful and traditional chicken fajita soup. You can serve this soup with tortillas, shredded cheese and sour cream. It’s blended with fire-roasted tomatoes, poblano peppers, onion, shredded chicken, black beans and more. Top it off with avocados, cilantro and lime.

My sister and I used to get this soup at El Chico’s Restaurant in Dallas. They just called it Tortilla Soup, but it’s mostly the same ingredients. Fell in love with it then and still am today. I hope you have a big soup cup.

If you are using the Farberware electric pressure cooker, you’ll press Start, P06, then press time cook for 10 minutes. I have both the Instant Pot and the Farberware electric pressure cookers. They are both wonderful, but the thing I like best about the Farberware cooker is the non-stick cooking pot inside. Plus it’s less expensive.
