Instant Pot® Mongolian Beef

This colorful Mongolian Beef Recipe uses fresh carrots and greens onions with a touch of Sriracha sauce. Mongolian beef recipes have been around for centuries in China. It’s a popular dish in their cuisine that can be cooked in a variety of ways. It is traditionally made with beef, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sugar and sherry. The dish is usually cooked on high heat for 1 to 2 hours. With your Instant Pot you’ll be done much sooner.

This Mongolian beef recipe uses flank steak since the Instant Pot pressurizes the meat into tender goodness. You can substitute sirloin steak if you prefer. Either one if fine since you’ll be braising it in the pot on the saute function to get that toasty flavor. The tasty bits you scrape off the bottom of the cooking pot add such a “lucious” . Or as my mom would say, “licious”… lol… Stick with this gourmet recipe or if you’re pressed for time, can jump to my quick Hasty Spoon Recipe below.

You can shave off some time in the kitchen by using a seasoning mix packet. Try the MCCORMICK® Beef Stir Fry and Vegetable One Skillet Seasoning Mix.
